Ballan Cricket Club Circa unknown yet. Syd Lay , Mick O'Heiher & Jackas Kennedy are the only known names in this photo.

A quote from a history book, of Syd Lay (source unknown);
“He was a leading local cricketer being a member of the Ballan CC which won the district premiership in 1912 and was picked to play in representative sides against the touring English teams in the 1920’s.”

"I would say the Victoria Cricket Club was based in Ballarat. I remember Dad telling me Syd was picked to play against the English touring side around that time in a game in Ballarat." Quoted by Rob Lay.
