New faces in Senior roles for 2022/23
Ballan Cricket Club welcomes and congratulates two popular members of our club into the most senior roles of President and Senior coach. Firstly in the President Role is David Leach who started playing for Ballan in 2019. David joined our general committee last year and has also been looking after our U11 teams along with Jenny Bates. He always puts his hand up to help out where he can including as Rec Reserve Rep. Not only is David great behind the scenes he is also well represented on the field and continues to play well with our 2nd XI. A well respected member of the club David is very approachable and should do well. He taking the reins from Noel Heafield who decided to step down to Vice President this year after 4 seasons as President. The Senior Coach role has been filled by Mark Kennedy. Again a very popular club member and 1sts player who, as David has, joined us in 2019 and been on the committee from last season. Mark is keen to do well with the boys and wants the team to support each other throughout the season and through individual games whilst enjoying the game. Mark has played for Ballan with 42 matches to his name as a top order batsman and a handy lower order bowler as well as being super keen in the field. We wish them both the best for the current and upcoming seasons. |
